Hypertension

Hypertension

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a cardiac chronic medical condition in which the systemic arterial blood pressure is elevated. Hypertension is classified as either primary (90-95 %) or secondary hypertension (5-10 %). Persistent hypertension is a significant risk factor for strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, and arterial aneurysms, and is a leading cause of chronic renal failure. Products in this chapter are for routine diagnosis and for research purposes.
