Oxidative injury is a fact of life. Life requires energy, and the electron transport chain, as an essential part of energy generation, produces reactive oxygen species (ROS) as a by-product. ROS cause oxidative damage to all cellular components, including lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. Products in this chapter are related to this research area.
